Bathtub is undoubtedly the main element of the bathroom, as it is used daily and determines the style of the entire place. That is why it is important to select a model that is functional and contributes the decorative style that you are looking for in your bathroom. When you are choosing a bathtub, there are a few important things to keep in mind such as the following;
1 – Bathroom Size
If the bathroom is small, it is advisable to choose a rectangular bathtub that fits with one of the bathroom walls. If it is possible, the most suitable will be the wall farthest from the door, as this will be able to give more depth to the bathroom. Another option is to place an angle or corner bathtub. When you take advantage of one of the corners of the bathroom, you will have more free space for the rest of the elements. However, in this case the interior space of the bathtub is more limited.
If the bathroom is medium or large, you can place a bathtub with asymmetrical shapes in the center or on one side with legs, as this will give a stately air to the bathroom. If you choose a larger rectangular or angular bathtub, you can enjoy a nice bathroom completely lying down.
2 – Budget
The standard measure of a bathtub ranges from 140cm up to 190cm. If you choose a standard model, you will always get better price. Any model made to measure logically will have a higher price. They are made of different materials. The most common are steel and acrylics. Cast iron can also be found but it is more expensive and does not fit all styles.
3 – Materials
You can find the following materials;
Steel
It is the usual and the most economical one and has a cold and hard touch. The models can be found with handles to be able to hold.
Acrylic
It has a warmer feel and offers much greater comfort than the steel. It is a bit more expensive, but the difference in sensation makes it worth it. The models can be found with handles and allow to incorporate head-rests to offer total comfort.
Iron
It manages to give a stately and sophisticated bathroom. It is placed as a central element of the bathroom with legs that have to be purchased separately. The price is very high and the feel is cold as steel.
